The new terminal of Samara International Airport is intended to be the most architecturally advanced in modern Russia. Over 35,000 m2 on three floors, it shall define Russia's coming of age in twenty first century, when it hosts the World Cup in 2018. Its completion shall mark the successful privatization of commercial air travel in Russia and the CIS.

The architecture of the terminal can be described as a smooth sleek machine that moves passengers via progression of inspiring volumes. The fluid forms based on three dynamic cones and flowing metallic walls captures the energy of air travel.
